Our mission is to provide compassionate, personalized home health care that enhances independence, dignity, and quality of life for seniors, and individuals with cognitive decline. We are more than caregivers—we are partners in your health journey. Our goal is to help you or your loved one age with dignity, recover with confidence, and live life to the fullest—at home.
Founded on the belief that health care extends beyond medical treatment, our mission is to serve the elderly, disabled, and individuals with cognitive decline with a holistic model of care that addresses physical, emotional, and social well-being. By combining clinical expertise with genuine compassion, we aim to create a supportive environment that not only assists our clients but also provides peace of mind to their families.
Gigi “Ranger” Ellis
Aging With Compassion was born out of my lifelong passion for the aging and my deep dedication to helping people live with dignity, respect, independence, and grace.
I grew up in Silver City, New Mexico, where my mother, Helen Ranger, worked for many years at the local hospital. While she cared for others, I spent much of my time with my grandmothers, Marvel “Nana” Woodward and Ida “Grammie” Ranger. They filled my childhood with lessons in gardening, cooking, crafts, and storytelling—endless hours of love and learning that shaped who I am today. From my mother, I learned the values that would become my foundation: integrity, ethics, trust, and compassion for others.
As I grew older and lived in different cities and states, my love and respect for older adults never faded. Somehow, my career always circled back to the healthcare field. But without a professional license, I often felt limited in how much I could truly help. In 2003, at the age of 40, I decided it was time to “find my purpose in life.” That journey led me back to school, where I earned my degrees and became a Gerontologist—a step that allowed me to fully embrace the calling that had always been in my heart.
In 2013, I returned to Silver City to help care for my mother during her final years. After she passed in February 2014, I stayed in the community that raised me, surrounded by its rich history and strong, aging population. It was here that Aging With Compassion came to life, built on the values passed down to me by my family and guided by the belief that every person deserves to age with dignity, love, and compassion.
